Senior Executive Service (SES) role, fixed term up to five years, with the Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration (DMPE). Location: Mineral House - East Perth. Title: Executive Director, Corporate Services.
The RoleYou will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and driving the strategic direction of the Corporate Services Group. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high level, trusted advice to the Director General and Corporate Executive on corporate services, strategic direction and policy matters.
- Leading the delivery of integrated corporate functions, establishing clear expectations, performance standards and evaluation frameworks to ensure operational excellence.
- Championing governance and compliance, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity and continuous improvement.
- Creating a safe, inclusive and respectful workplace that supports staff wellbeing, capability development and leadership growth.
- Building and maintaining productive relationships with community stakeholders, facilitating meaningful engagement and mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Demonstrated significant experience leading and providing direction for the development, alignment, and delivery of sustainable corporate services.
- Demonstrated expertise in building productive working relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective community engagement, providing opportunities to input on policy and facilitating agreement of mutually beneficial solutions.
- Demonstrated expertise to proactively shape strategy to align with the collective needs of the agency and sector, balancing delivery of tactical short term requirements with creating value in the medium term.
To be eligible for fixed term employment you must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia or a valid visa to live and work in Australia for the duration of the fixed term employment at the time of application. You must also consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain clearance before starting work.
