Director of eSports

The University at Albany, State University of New York, seeks tohire a Director of the UAlbany eSports program. The Director isresponsible for promoting a comprehensive and sustainable eSportsprogram that combines high-level competition against other eliteuniversities; recruitment of academically eligible elite gamers;the operations of a training facility and arena; engagement withfaculty to explore research opportunities related to video games;support of the UAlbany gaming community and addressing socialjustice issues related to games and eSports.

Minimum qualifications include strong counseling and consultationskills to coach and assist members of the eSports team andexperience working in a collaborative environment to establishprofessional work relationships with all units and campuspersonnel, clients, and members of the public and off-campusagencies.
