The Financial Planning and Resourcing branch is seeking a highly experienced professional with expertise in strategic financial leadership.
About the BranchThe Financial Planning and Resourcing directorate is responsible for key finance related functions, including:
- overall budget and resource management,
- cost and demand modelling,
- providing high level strategic financial advice,
- school resourcing, and
As a key member of the Finance and Commercial Services leadership team, you will strategically lead the directorate and work in collaboration with key external and internal stakeholders to share a common commitment to meeting the needs of all students across the state.
About YouWe are looking for an experienced and motivated person with sound financial acumen, leadership and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic organisation.
As a key part of the Department of Education senior leadership team, you will lead the preparation and management of the annual budget process for the Department, as well as coordinate and support the preparation of various funding submissions.
You will provide high quality budget and financial management oversight and delivery, both internally and externally. This includes sound reporting in line with statutory and corporate requirements to drive and develop a culture of continuous improvement and best practice within the Financial Planning and Resourcing directorate and across the Department.
The role of the Director is to promote a collaborative approach to service delivery and financial management. You will also establish and maintain effective partnerships and networks across the Department and with key external stakeholders to achieve departmental objectives.
