Join our Development Hub team and play a key role in supporting planning, building and engineering services across Council. In this dynamic role, you'll apply your experience interpreting legislation and codes, assisting with development assessments, and providing exceptional customer service. You'll also help drive efficiencies through e-Planning systems, contribute to process improvements, and support the delivery of high-quality outcomes for our community.

Responsibilities
  • The Development Assessment Planning Associate is responsible for:
  • Supporting the Planning, Building and Development Engineering Teams through a range of administrative and technical tasks
  • Providing assistance/support to Supervisor, Development Hub
  • Performing minor development assessment tasks and responding to development related enquiries
  • Providing high level customer service to external clients in relation to planning, building, engineering and property related matters, in consultation with technical staff
  • Assisting the development and implementation of operational efficiencies and systems that support the suite of e-Planning solutions
To Be Successful in This Role You Will Need
  • Certificate III in Business Administration or similar
  • Basic level training and/or understanding of the Building Code of Australia, NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and Property Information Systems/GIS
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Drivers Licence

Salary range: Grade 10 - 11, $1,296.40 - $1,460.30 per week for a 35 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
