Construction Project Officer

Location: Beautiful Tenterfield - Accommodation can be provided if you are relocating for this contract.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Officer for a pivotal 4 to 6 month contract. This role is ideal for an experienced administration or technical support professional looking to apply their skills in a hands-on, infrastructure-focused environment.

We are committed to securing the right talent, offering a competitive hourly rate: $40 - $50 p/h depending on experience.

The Role: Technical Support & Project Administration

Reporting to the Engineering Management team, you will be the administrative backbone of the infrastructure delivery team, ensuring technical processes, documentation, and compliance programs run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Administration: Assist in the preparation and administration of contracts, including the coordination of contractors and suppliers.
  • Technical Records: Manage and maintain comprehensive digital record systems for engineering documentation, including maps, plans, and technical data.
  • Compliance & Approvals: Manage the process for applications related to engineering services (roads, water, sewer, access, etc.), including drafting correspondence for timely approvals.
  • Technical Support: Provide direct administrative and technical support to the Engineering Managers, including collating data and correspondence for committee and meetings.
About You
  • A demonstrated background in an administrative or support role within an engineering, construction, or Local Government environment.
  • A Certificate IV in an Engineering, Administrative, or Local Government discipline is highly regarded.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and proficiency in managing digital documentation (e.g., GIS, records systems).
  • Proven ability to work effectively with both technical staff and the general public, providing advice and managing applications.
  • A self-starter ready to commit to a 4-6 month full-time, on-site role in Tenterfield.
