Overview

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our client's team based in Norwood. This role will suit someone who is confident managing end-to-end bookkeeping, has solid payroll experience, and can effectively oversee and delegate work to a small offshore team. You'll work closely with both local and overseas staff to ensure all financial and reporting deadlines are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage bookkeeping for 20-25 clients per month, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee payroll processing for 15-20 clients monthly, using Bassworx.
  • Handle BAS preparation and lodgment, managing approximately 150 BAS per quarter, in collaboration with the accounting team.
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, data entry, and maintenance of accurate financial records.
  • Liaise with clients to obtain required financial data and documentation.
  • Supervise and delegate weekly tasks to a team of two offshore staff based in Vietnam, ensuring accountability and productivity.
  • Collaborate closely with the accounting team to ensure consistency and accuracy across all bookkeeping tasks.
  • Monitor and manage workflow volume to meet reporting and compliance deadlines.
  • Present regularly at the Norwood office to support team operations and communication.
Requirements
  • 4-5 years' experience in end-to-end bookkeeping, including BAS and payroll.
  • Strong competence in payroll systems (preferably Bassworx) and general bookkeeping software.
  • Proven ability to manage and support offshore or remote team members.
  • Excellent communication, delegation, and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail with a proactive and organised approach to workload management.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Availability for an immediate start.
