OverviewJoin the City of Tea Tree Gully's Field Service Department as a Concreter Trainee. Gain hands-on experience in concrete construction, including formwork, pouring, finishing and repairs. This is an outdoor role with the opportunity to build a career in civil construction while contributing to the local community.

The RoleLocation: Surrey Downs SA
Duration: 24-month full-time Traineeship
As a Concreter Trainee, you will work with the Team Leader Civil Maintenance to deliver both programmed and reactive works across the Field Services Department. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:
- Site preparation including digging and levelling
- Pour, repair and finish concrete
- Cut, polish and reinforce concrete structures
- Read and interpret site plans
- Construct footpaths and kerbing
- Setup traffic management for construction activities
To be successful in this Traineeship, you will:
- Enjoy working hands-on and outdoors
- Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Have strong verbal communication skills
- Thrive working in a team environment
- Be willing to learn and take initiative
- Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- White Card (or willing to obtain)
- Good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
- Willing to complete a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol screen
- Previous experience or training in construction, landscaping or related trade (desirable)
