Compliance and Quality CoordinatorJOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Director of Compliance and Medical Director, the Compliance and Quality Coordinator is responsible for conducting ongoing, comprehensive audits of documentation and service delivery to ensure adherence to standards and regulations. This role supports program management and staff by facilitating quality improvement processes, initiatives, investigations, and reporting. The Compliance and Quality Coordinator plays a key role in promoting a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that high-quality, compliant care is delivered to all participants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Completing comprehensive audits on an ongoing basis of all clinical documentation (assessments, care plans, SDR / ISR, clinical follow-up, service delivery, etc ). Report findings to Executive Director, VP Operations and N ational Director of Compliance.
- Establishes auditing systems and provides oversight of audits performed by program managers. Ensure understanding of audit processes, tools and requirements.
- Provide administrative support and guidance to program management and staff in quality initiatives and performance improvement projects including organizing meetings, providing data for analysis and tracking reports, and advising on optimal processes for quality improvement.
- Assist program management in managing and refining policies and procedures related to care services to ensure quality and compliance
- Developing and providing employee training on compliance/quality policies, practices, and reporting systems in collaboration with program and national management
- Identifying, quality and compliance issues, and assisting with investigating, and reporting irregularities, and violations to program and national management.
- Organize and track numerous and diverse activities, timelines and issues.
- Reviewing and auditing all grievance and appeal documentation to ensure compliance and quality resolutions, Prepare and file compliance/quality reports.
- Actively participate in CMS and state surveys.
- Participate in the education and training of program staff regarding documentation and EMR processes.
- Prepare the agenda for CMS and State scheduled calls.
- Performs other duties as required and requested.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:- Associate degree or higher, preferably in a health-related discipline,
- Experience in accountable care, managed care, compliance monitoring or quality improvement preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year working with an elderly population. If this is not present, training on working with a frail or elderly population will be provided upon hire.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the minimum state required liability auto insurance.
- Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date before engaging in direct participant contact.
