Casual Lifeguard

Lithgow City Council offers an exciting opportunity for Casual Lifeguards to join the team in Lithgow, NSW.

Reporting to the Aquatic Centre Team Leader, you will supervise patrons using the Aquatic Centre, ensuring a high level of safety and care for the community.

• Maintain constant supervision of patrons in line with Royal Life Saving Keep Watch at Public Pools
• Ensure the centre is well maintained, clean, tidy and aesthetically pleasing
• Carry out all duties in accordance with the Centre's Operations Manual
• Understand and implement the centre's Emergency Action Plan and provide first aid when needed
• Maintain equipment, cleanliness of storage areas and set up/pack away equipment as required
• Ensure all people under the age of 5 are within arm's reach of a parent or guardian at all times

• Current Senior First Aid Certificate
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Current Working with Children Check (over 18)
• Demonstrated commitment to WHS procedures
• Demonstrated commitment to the principles of integrity and honesty

• Class C Drivers Licence
• Certificate III in Fitness
• Austswim Learn to Swim Course qualifications
• Certificate III in Aquatics (SIS30110)
• Chemical Handling course
• Previous experience working in a public pool

• Casual rate between $19.79 and $41.45 per hour, depending on age, skills, qualifications and experience
