Role Overview

The Brand Manager acts as the representative/guardian of the Etro brand, ensuring business development aligns with the brand strategy and guidelines. The role provides clear vision and position for the brand's daily activities, monitors business performance, opportunities, and risks, and serves as the primary contact for commercial and marketing activities with clients and suppliers/franchisees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Buying/Stock Management: Preparation of the buying budget by store/category/SKU; organize pre-buying and post-buying sessions with the buying team and participate in sessions in the countries; manage stock delivery (stock analysis, rotation between markets) and stock negotiations with the brand including SWAP and returns; monitor and manage the balance between full-price and discounted price (excluding Outlet).
  • Commercial Operations: Participate in strategic meetings with suppliers to outline development plans and commercial terms; engage with brands on new locations and expansion plans; oversee store opening, closure, and renovation processes as liaison between brand, local market, and contractors; approve brand mix and ensure smooth execution of openings/closures/renovations with demand planning; coordinate with Architectural team for new store layout and Capex per brand direction; maintain smooth relationships with suppliers, brand owners and business partners.
  • Reporting: Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities; provide action plans and follow up; review monthly customer/sales reports, shopper insights, store/counter traffic, KPIs and prepare action plans; evaluate and enhance store Capex cost efficiency; participate in yearly budget setup and Open to Buy (OTB) processes with Finance and Brand.
  • Retail Operations: Attend meetings to assess counter performance, review marketing initiatives and staff training; conduct regular market visits and post-visit reports; coordinate regular Product and Brand Training with Brand and HR; ensure retail/store managers are informed about new launches; participate in Store Management interviews for talent identification; coordinate with VM team to implement VM guidelines for openings and throughout the season.
  • Marketing: Collaborate with marketing to propose strategies for existing and new store openings; collaborate to finalize event plans and objectives; ensure in-store marketing guidelines from Brand Owners are implemented; enhance customer service through surveys and benchmarks.

Your Profile:

  • 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a similar role in luxury.
  • Strong buying and retail analytical skills.
  • Open to travel at regular intervals.
  • Market savvy with experience in stock management.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
