About the Client Our client is a vibrant organisation that, in addition to running a successful sports club, also operates as a popular hospitality venue. Their fantastic facilities host a range of events, from sports and corporate functions to private celebrations.
They are now seeking a Bookkeeper / Finance Manager to join their team. This role would suit someone who is outgoing, detail-oriented, and enjoys being involved in all aspects of both the operational and financial running of a busy hospitality and sports business.
Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
- Cash up tills, reconcile balances, and manage petty cash.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure all customers are correctly invoiced.
- Raise customer invoices and manage credit control, including debt chasing.
- Process, approve, and pay supplier invoices.
- Track and reconcile bank account balances using QuickBooks.
- Complete and submit VAT returns.
- Verify the accuracy of business accounts and alert the CFO to discrepancies.
- Collate employee timesheets and maintain payroll records.
- Manage employee expense claims.
- Assist the CFO with administrative duties and financial reporting.
- Provide data for Office for National Statistics submissions.
- Support monthly payroll processing.

- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Finance Manager.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software (essential).
- Knowledge of hospitality, bar, or catering finance processes (desirable but not essential).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Team-player attitude with a hands-on approach.
