As an Assistant Manager or Manager in Compliance Monitoring and Testing, you will play a key role in strengthening the bank's compliance framework by ensuring business processes and controls meet regulatory requirements. You will execute monitoring and testing activities, contribute to risk assessments, and collaborate with stakeholders to promote a strong compliance culture.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in designing and support the execution of the Annual Compliance Monitoring and Testing Plan, covering key regulations, themes, and processes, along with ad hoc special reviews.
- Conduct testing of business activities, controls, and processes, documenting findings, identifying root causes, and providing recommendations for remediation.
- Manage and track the closure of compliance-related issues, validating the effectiveness and sustainability of corrective actions.
- Prepare periodic monitoring reports and dashboards for senior management and governance committees.
- Strengthen monitoring methodologies, testing frameworks, and compliance risk assessment processes with actionable insights.
- Collaborate with business units and control functions to raise awareness of compliance requirements and foster a culture of accountability.
- Provide testing results and corresponding documentation to support regulatory examinations, internal audits, and assurance reviews.
- Design, manage, and execute the annual Compliance Risk Assessment exercise, ensuring comprehensive identification and mitigation of compliance risks.
- Professional compliance or audit certifications such as ICA, ACAMS, CIA, or equivalent are preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in compliance monitoring, testing, or internal audit within banking or financial services.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance risk management principles.
- Expertise in control testing practices, business process analysis, and identifying control weaknesses.
- Strong report-writing skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Influential interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and drive effective remediation.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
