The Accounts Controller will be responsible for managing the company's financial bookkeeping, payments processing, and group reporting in line with UAE regulations and company standards.
This role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with reporting requirements, and efficient coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise maintenance of company books, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger.
- Process vendor payments and coordinate with the Treasury Department for execution.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual group reports through specialized systems (HFM).
- Coordinate with external auditors for timely finalization of financial statements.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Recommend and implement improvements in accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Supervise and guide subordinates to ensure accurate and timely accounting operations.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Commercial, Treasury, and Budgeting teams.
- Engage and communicate effectively with vendors and auditors.
- Adhere to company HSE policies and promote a strong safety culture.
- Conduct periodic site visits and report any HSE observations for corrective action.
- Hands on experience with ERP and HFM systems.
- Solid understanding of GL, AP, AR, and cost control functions.
- Knowledge of VAT and UAE compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Strong ownership mindset with accountability for results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Team player with leadership qualities and the ability to mentor others.
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Masters in Finance
- Certification - CMA or CA
- Minimum 5 to 6 years of experience in accounting or financial control.
- Industry Experience - Cement
- Technical Skills - General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Taxation, Audit and Data Analysis.
- Strong knowledge of UAE accounting regulations and reporting standards.
- Must be available to join immediately.
