Position Title: Youth Support Worker - Part Time Classification: Crisis QLD Level 1 Location: Bundaberg Status: Part Time - 16 hours per week Why this role matters The Salvation Army (Salvos) is one of the largest providers of homelessness services across the country. We provide services and supports to adults, and families with accompanying children in the form of accommodation, case management, assertive outreach, financial assistance, community connection and referral services. The Role As a Youth Support Worker, your responsibilities include:Planning, delivering, and evaluating life skills and other relevant programs for young people. Experience working with young people experiencing homelessness and/or crisis within a Case Management Framework. Experience supporting culturally and linguistically diverse young people and those from a range of religious backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to manage unpredictable behaviours and situations, including those involving violence, substance use, and mental health concerns. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to assist with data collection and report writing.
