We are recruiting locum Youth Workers for a well-respected Crisis Youth Accommodation service in Darwin. These short-term roles run mid-December to mid-January, offering excellent penalty rates over the Christmas/New Year period - perfect for those wanting extra income while making a meaningful impact with young people.
SELECTION CRITERIA- Be based in Darwin
- Ideally have experience in youth work, homelessness, MH, or be studying towards it
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate
- Hold a full driver's licence
- Be available for a variety of shifts including weekends, nights & public holidays
- Have a current WWCC and NPC
- $45 p/h base + super
- Penalty rates: weekends, overtime, public holidays, night shift etc.
- Sleepover allowances + active night shift rates
- Variety of shifts available - 4hr, 8hr, sleepover & night shifts
- Work with a supportive team of Youth Workers & Case Managers
- Make a real difference supporting young people in crisis accommodation
- Gain valuable experience in youth work and community services
- Short-term locum contract during a busy period
- Support and coach young people in developing independent living skills
- Build strong, respectful relationships with residents and colleagues
- Assist in developing programs and support plans for individual needs
- Work collaboratively with Case Managers and Youth Workers
- Maintain a safe, supportive environment for young people
