Youth and College Pastor: Eau Gallie First Baptist Church

This is a full-time youth pastor position in a church that is well-established in our community. Lots of schools are nearby. There is tons of potential to grow a solid student ministry. We are located in Melbourne, Florida, near the Indian River and close to the beach. We are about an hour away from Orlando. We are a conservative church that adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. We are a multi-generational church that seeks to Love God, Love people, Share Jesus, and Reach the World.

Our youth attend SWO every summer (Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters), which is a great discipleship and high-adventure camp. We take Mission Trips to Ecuador in the summer.

• A passionate soul winner that knows he is called by God to youth/college ministry and not simply using it as a step to another job.

Educational Requirements:

• Minimum Required: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant ministry field.
• Preferred Requirement: A Master's degree (or nearing completion of) from a Southern Baptist (or theologically conservative) Seminary.
• Must agree with and be knowledgeable of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• Must be willing to continue education through conferences, training events, etc.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum Required: Three years of youth ministry experience leading a youth group of 25 or more students.
• Preferred Requirement: Three to five years of youth ministry experience leading a youth group of 40 or more students.

Other Requirements:

• A married man (not previously divorced), with a wife willing to come alongside to do team ministry.
• Age: Desired age will be 25-40 (although we will consider other ages).
• Must believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, authoritative, and sufficient Word of God.
• Must be willing to minister and function under the leadership of the Senior Pastor, as well as learn, support, and adhere to the by-laws of the First Baptist Church Eau Gallie.
• Must be a text-driven (i.e., expositional) teacher and effective communicator of biblical truth.
• Must relate to and minister to youth (e.g., athletes, musicians, etc.) and youth families, regardless of demographics (e.g., home-school, private, and public-school families).
• Must possess strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Must have and articulate a vision to grow the youth ministry to the potential of our community.
• Must possess a strong work ethic, with a willingness to work cohesively with other staff members.
• Must be willing to take the students to Summer/Winter Camps.
• Lead and coordinate youth ministry fundraisers, D-NOW weekends, recreational events, and more.
• Willing to teach Apologetics and Discipleship-centered Bible studies/curriculum.
• Lead and work with Youth Ministry Team members on a consistent basis.

Salary and benefits include $60,000 a year, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement, social security reimbursement, conference expenses, and mileage.
