Wound Care Specialist
$10K Sign-On Bonus/Up to $7500 Relocation Assistance
Work Schedule: 5 days a week, 8-5pm some weekends (1 weekend every 5-6 weeks).
Location: New Hanover Regional Medical Center
Status: Exempt position
Department: Wound/Ostomy Services
What We're Looking For:
Education:
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, BSN or current enrollment in BSN considered as BSN is required for WOCN course certification.
Experience:
- Three years in clinical nursing, preferred.
Required Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
Preferred Certification:
- Wound/Ostomy Care (WOCN).
Requirement:
- If candidate does not have Wound/Ostomy Care (WOCN) certification , completion of the Wound/Ostomy Course provided by an accredited program must be completed within 2 years of hire and certification should be achieved within within 6 months to 1 year after program is complete.
What You'll Do:
The Wound Care Specialist RN is responsible for achieving standards of care, collaborating with physicians, managers, clinical coordinators and other team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized patient care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.
