Wiring Technician required for a leading OEM manufacturer of test & analysis equipment for the oil and gas sector. The Wiring Technician role will be workshop and bench based to manufacture high value probes. The product is compressed into a 35mm tube therefore the product assembly is detailed and includes electro/mech assembly, looming, soldering and connecting PCB S and components to manufacture the finished product.
Wiring Technician must have:
Skills in fine detail soldering and assembling electronic components to IPC-610 standard.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, electronic schematics, and parts lists.
Advanced knowledge of electro/mechanical components. General knowledge of digital/analogue circuit theory.
Ability to work independently.
3+ years experience as a Wiring Technician, Looming Technician or Electronic Technician.
There are two shifts available for the Wiring Technician
Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00, Friday 08:00 to 13:00 . Hourly rate of pay 28.00 with overtime paid at T1.5, 12 months initial contract. Potential temp-to-perm options at the end of the contract period.
Late Shift: Monday to Thursday 15:45-01:30 in addition to the rate of pay 32.00 per hour (including shift allowance) overtime will be available and paid at T1.5 of the base rate ( 28.00). Initially the role will be contract (Inside IR35).
