Role OverviewThe Manager - Treasury and Capital Markets Operations plays a strategic and operational role in managing the organization's treasury back office functions. This role is responsible for overseeing liquidity management, banking infrastructure and compliance with treasury policies and controls.
The Manager will ensure efficient execution of cash operations, settlements, reconciliations, and reporting, while driving process improvements and automation initiatives. The role also supports capital markets activities, including investment operations, risk mitigation, and regulatory adherence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Payments- Execute payments (wire transfers, ACH payments, and other financial transactions) and reconcile bank accounts.
- Ensure timely settlement (including matching and confirmation) for cash investments (e.g. term deposits) and FX/IR related trades.
- Reconcile transactions with counterparties (banks, financial institutions).
- Ensure all trades are booked, matched, and settled in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor daily cash flow and cash positions to ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational requirements.
- Develop and maintain cash forecasting models to predict future cash needs and support decision making.
- Monitor and reconcile daily bank account balances, internal ledgers, and cash movements.
- Maintain and update bank account information and signatory lists, including online banking/TMS user list.
- Lead the process of opening and closing bank/custody accounts as required.
- Prepare and ensure completeness of management reporting (cash, forecast, counterparty exposures, FX/IR exposures, and others).
- Monitor and report treasury KPI's (e.g. bank fees etc.).
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Support Treasury Front Office, Finance and Fund Operations teams.
- Serve as a point of contact with banks and financial institutions to resolve settlement and reconciliation issues.
- 6-11 years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years in a similar specialist role.
- Prior experience in a private equity or investment management environment strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
- Master's degree (Finance or Business Administration) preferred.
- Professional certifications in Finance or Accountancy, such as CTP, CFA, FRM, CPA, ACA, CIMA or ACCA strongly preferred.
- Experience with (and preferably implementing) treasury management systems (particularly FIS Integrity).
- Strong understanding of cash & liquidity management.
- Excellent technical understanding of global payments systems (e.g. SWIFT etc.) and bank counterparty payment processes.
- Experience with treasury/finance software, FX/MMF dealing platforms and programs (e.g. Bloomberg FX Go, Refinitiv, Mosaic, MS PBI and Excel etc.)
- Understanding of the broader roles of the treasury function within large organizations.
- Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills including conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Team oriented with a collaborative approach.
- Ability to work as part of a small team in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
