Role details:


Our client, a key player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking two Courseware Designers/Analysts to join their remote team with ad hoc travel to locations near Reading. This is a 6-month contract position.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team responsible for the analysis, design, maintenance, review, and production of DSAT Documentation & processes for military training sites and organisations.
  • Analyse, capture, and articulate training needs arising from new or changing requirements.
  • Inform on optimum training solutions to meet training requirements, balancing time, cost, and quality.
  • Produce, maintain, and update Training Design from various formal training documents to delivery of assessment strategies and specifications.
  • Interview subject matter experts to collate required data.
  • Participate in internal workshops to discuss and agree on findings from analysis.
  • Upkeep, update, and revalidation of course syllabi, standards, and trainer competence requirements.
  • Maintain Training Design in response to new training requirements, ensuring it satisfies operational/workplace performance requirements.


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in defence training course design and analysis roles.
  • Excellent communication skills required at all levels both internally and within the customer organisation.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Understanding of training design and development processes for training media.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in organisational design and development.
  • Experience in the development of apprenticeship qualifications.
  • Degree-level education in a relevant area.
  • Teaching and training development qualifications at degree level.
  • Human Resource Development qualification and experience.
  • Membership in an appropriate professional body such as CIPD.
