Our client is a leading live entertainment industry and events business. They provide the best possible training for the live events sector, with fantastic industry links and state of the art production facilities.
Due to continued growth they are looking for a Technician who will assist with the day-to-day operation and the safe presentation of all student productions, external hires and projects. Duties will include (but are not limited to) assisting staff during practical sessions, maintenance of equipment, maintaining and supervising the safe and efficient operation of the studios and specialist teaching spaces, assisting the training of students and staff on how to operate equipment, and ensuring that health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times by building users in the studios / warehouse.
The principal duties and responsibilities of this role will be:
Assist staff in the safe and effective delivery of practical sessions and assessments, with supervision responsibilities over small groups of students.
Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external clients.
Set up and maintain facilities (e.g. Classrooms, Storerooms) to be ready for programmed teaching and assessment activity.
Co-ordinate the set up and de-rig of equipment as required.
To be successful in the role, you will have strong skills in all technical disciplines including; sound, audio visual, flying, rigging, staging, with a knowledge of Live Events principles and processes and previous experience in a similar role.
You will be an excellent communicator with solid team working skills who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A can-do attitude is a must, and your customer service skills will be second to none.
