Our client is a leading live entertainment industry and events business. They provide the best possible training for the live events sector, with fantastic industry links and state of the art production facilities.
Due to continued growth they are looking for a Technical & Operations Manager, which will be a student facing role, working as part of a larger student services team. You will work under the Head of Institution delivering wide-ranging customer-focused services across the entire student experience, liaising with staff and students daily to provide effective and efficient technical support.
The principal duties and responsibilities of this role will be:
To manage the technical team, maintaining a high level of competence, Health and Safety Compliance and productivity and ensuring that relevant industry standards are maintained.
manage projects and assist in the delivery of planned maintenance and reactive maintenance programmes, measuring performance against Key Performance Indicators.
To maintain commercial links and opportunities with the professional industry.
To manage and support the training of students and/or staff in areas relating to the safe use of Academy spaces and resources (e.g., health & safety, production skills, equipment operation, manual handling, first aid, working at height, electrical safety etc)
Line management of a small team of staff, including recruitment, training, mentoring, coaching, performance management and appraisals of the team.
To be successful in the role, you will have strong skills in all technical disciplines including; sound, audio visual, flying, rigging, staging, with a knowledge of Live Events principles and processes and previous experience in a similar role.
You will be an excellent communicator with solid team working skills who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A can-do attitude is a must, and your customer service skills will be second to none.
