Position Information

Windsor High School is a comprehensive school with around 650 students, located in the Hawkesbury. It serves a diverse student body, including approximately 20% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and 8% from language backgrounds other than English. The school includes a support unit for students with intellectual disabilities. The school has focused on building strong systems in curriculum, student wellbeing, and teacher professional learning, promoting a positive learning environment and a culture centred on improving outcomes for students.

Selection Criteria
  • Approval to teachITX - Technology Mandatory (Years 7-8).
  • Evidence of effective classroom practices, that includes the ability to cater for students with a diverse range of learning needs through differentiated curriculum.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative member of the TAS faculty and contribute to faculty programs and whole school initiatives.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to build positive relationships with the students, staff, parents, and the wider community.
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
