The School

Bunbury Senior High School (SHS) is perched on a hill overlooking both the cityscape of Bunbury and the extensive Bunbury beach front. The Role

Bunbury SHS is seeking an energetic and passionate Design and Technology teacher to join our high performing team.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Deliver engaging curriculum aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum.
  • Provide students with purposeful learning experiences, developing skills, knowledge and understanding in Technologies.
  • Confidently teach across Woodwork and Metalwork; experience in Senior School Design and Technology courses is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with students, colleagues and parents.
  • Act as a highly effective team member, contributing to a positive culture of success and motivating students to reach their personal best.
  • Link learning with real world experiences, ensuring students gain currency for pathways beyond school.

Professional knowledge of instructional skills, theories and tactics, and ability to develop high expectations, will be a focus of curriculum delivery.

Mobility Appointment

Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school may elect to undertake this role as a 3 year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position.
