Position InformationKingswood High School is a comprehensive coeducational high school established in 1969 and located in the Penrith Valley area. The school comprises 1032 students, including 15% of students from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and 29% of students who have a language background other than English. The school also includes a Special Education Unit that supports up to 60 students through the delivery of inclusive teaching and learning activities personalised to support student growth and development. The school occupies spacious grounds with specialised facilities, including a state-of-the-art Trade Training Centre, Multipurpose Sports Centre and Auditorium, student-managed cafe, after-school Homework Club, fully equipped gym, international quality sporting field, a diverse Primary Industry Farm, and the Kingswood Recording Studio.

Specific Selection Criteria- Approval to teach Year 7-10 Science and Stage 6 Biology.
- Capacity to implement effective classroom management strategies and contribute to differentiated teaching and learning programs to maximise student growth and promote high expectations for all students, in order to create an inclusive school culture.
- Commitment to the Department of Education's Aboriginal Education policies.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive working relationships with students, staff and parents to improve student learning outcomes.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
