PwC Middle East is seeking an experienced Tax and Legal Services (TLS) Technology leader for its Digital Assets (DA) team. This leadership role oversees the strategy, governance and delivery of digital assets across the Middle East TAX and LEGAL practice (1200 professionals) and managing a team of 20 professionals (product managers, tech and AI developers L1 L4 support teams, data / business analysts). The DA lead will be responsible for shaping the long term technology strategy ensuring the smooth functioning and delivery of all TLS digital assets and enabling innovation through advanced technologies including data analytics and AI.

The successful candidate will be a bridge between business leaders, global PwC technology teams and TLS stakeholders (C suite and practice leaders) ensuring alignment of digital investments with strategic business priorities.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy

• Define and execute the long term digital assets strategy for TLS in the ME.
• Ensure governance prioritization and alignment of technology initiatives with PwC global standards and local business needs.

Technology Portfolio Oversight

• Oversee and manage a portfolio of 20 digital tools including in house development (e.g. e invoicing solutions, reconciliation engines, AI agents and AI workflow tools). Automation & analytics initiatives using Power Automate, Alteryx, Databricks and Power BI.
• Ensure sustainability, scalability and cost effectiveness of deployed solutions.

Team Management

• Lead and develop a cross regional team of 20 professionals. Build a high performance culture with clear goals, coaching and continuous improvement.

AI Enablement

• Act as the key technology lead for AI initiatives within TLS design and implement AI enabled solutions ensuring robust infrastructure and realistic expectation management.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the primary liaison with global PwC technology teams, internal IT, Finance and Risk & Quality. Translate complex technical topics into clear business oriented messages.
• Report regularly to TLS stakeholders (CEO, COO, CFO, CTO, business line leaders) on project portfolio budgets and outcomes.

Governance & Financials

• Lead financial planning, budgeting and cost management for digital assets and provide transparency on costs, projects and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external standards including cybersecurity and risk management.

Requirements Education & Experience

12 years of experience in technology strategy, digital transformation or IT leadership roles preferably within professional services consulting or large enterprise environments.

Proven record of accomplishment of leading large multi disciplinary teams in a high pressure environment.

Strong background in project and portfolio management.

Exposure to tax or legal services is advantageous but not essential.

Technical Expertise

Solid understanding of application development lifecycle, software architecture and cloud infrastructure.

Experience with data & analytics technologies (Alteryx, Databricks, Power BI) and automation platforms (e.g. Power Automate).

Knowledge of AI technologies, their infrastructure requirements, limitations and risks.

Awareness of cybersecurity and data governance best practices.

Leadership & Soft Skills

Excellent communication and influencing skills; ability to translate technology into business language.

Strong change management and stakeholder management capabilities.

Proven ability to manage senior stakeholder expectations and balance competing priorities.

Experience in managing distributed cross cultural teams.
