Duties and responsibilities:
Provide knowledgeable advice on vaping products, including devices, e-liquids, disposables, and accessories
Lead daily retail operations to ensure excellent customer service and compliance with industry regulations
Ensure staff deliver personalized service while promoting safe and responsible product use
Enforce provincial and federal regulations regarding age restrictions, product handling, and advertising limitations
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vaping legislation and train staff accordingly
Ensure ID verification processes are strictly followed
Recruit, train, and supervise retail associates, fostering product knowledge, compliance awareness, and sales skills
Schedule staff efficiently to balance customer traffic and labor costs
Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions to build a high-performing team
Oversee ordering, receiving, and stock management to prevent shortages or overstock
Monitor sales trends to optimize inventory levels and product mix
Ensure product displays meet Health Canada packaging and marketing requirements
Manage daily cash handling, deposits, and sales reporting with accuracy
Track key performance indicators (sales targets, shrinkage, customer satisfaction)
Implement cost-control strategies to maximize profitability
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant retail environment
Ensure proper handling and storage of vaping products by staff
Address incidents, complaints, or product quality issues promptly
Represent the company brand positively within the local community
Build customer relationships through loyalty programs and expert product guidance
Collaborate with marketing to implement in-store promotions within legal limits
Requirements:
Completion of secondary school required
Supervisory experience in retail store sales and operations, preferably in regulated industries (tobacco, cannabis, alcohol, vape)
Experience recruiting, staffing, and training retail teams
Knowledge of vaping products and customer trends is an asset
Strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to stay professional and lead effectively under pressure
Skilled in analyzing sales trends and adjusting operations accordingly
