Stitching friendships, one visit at a time!
A friendly community aged client is looking forward to volunteer visits and would love to share her passion for crocheting and knitting. She has several unfinished projects and would really enjoy some gentle help and companionship to work through them together while having a chat. Your time and encouragement could help turn half-finished pieces into something special and bring meaningful connection along the way.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitorcan be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well asyourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of lifeand help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the clients cared for by HammondCare.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer VisitorScheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote linksbetween elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
