Job PurposeThe project scope encompasses Project Management Consultancy (PMC) to provide services for fit out, refurbishment, and construction projects related to buildings and warehouses (non process related), within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The purpose of the PMC is to oversee all project execution activities on behalf of the Client, and to provide project assurance for a timely completion of construction works within budget and to the required specification. The PMC is required to provide sound project management and controls, contract management, quality management, safety management, and environmental management practices in accordance with recognized best practices.
Job Responsibilities- Identifies all project stakeholders and formulates engagement strategies to ensure all parties are kept up to date on project and program status.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, supervision consultants, contractors, vendors and regulatory authorities to ensure alignment and compliance with project requirements.
- Oversee the development and implementation of project management plans, processes and procedures.
- Reviews supervision consultant/contractors schedules for authority approvals and duration correctness.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a culture of awareness and continuous improvement.
- Monitors project progress and team performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to address any deviations from the project plans.
- Prepare and present regular project stakeholder / interface reports to senior management and the client, detailing progress, challenges and solutions.
- Guide and mentor project team members, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders to maintain project support and mitigate any concerns.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 10+ years of experience in projects, specifically in large power and water distribution programmes.
- Proven experience in a similar role on programmes with a similar scope.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of Abu Dhabi authorities approval requirements and processes.
- Proficiency in project scheduling and resource management.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making capabilities under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
