The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in Darlinghurst.
We are seeking a friendly face to visit with an elderly resident in care. You will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for her as you visit fortnightly for a cuppa and a chat.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare, NDIS Worker Screening Check.
We are happy to work with you on a visit time between Monday-Sunday 9am to 5pm fortnightly.
