The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in Morisset.
We are seeking a friendly volunteer to come and spend time with an elderly client living at home in Morisset. She has a passion for felines, reading fantasy/crime novels, cooking shows, documentaries, visiting art galleries and museums. She would like to meet someone with similar interests for a 1 hour weekly/fortnightly visit at home or out and about for a coffee.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements- 18 years or older
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for 30 minutes to one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
