Join our team! AGF is seeking a Site Coordinator to join our dynamic team based in Edmonton, AB. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for taking off reinforcing steel and related products for the purpose of pricing the project, according to bid documents, drawings, and specifications.


This role requires travel to our job sites, so a reliable vehicle is necessary. AGF provides mileage reimbursement at $0.72 per kilometer traveled.

About the Role - Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor various construction activities and project KPIs to identify progress, delays or holdbacks and report status to the PM team.
  • Coordinate field activities with internal and external project teams to ensure work progress and schedule alignment.
  • Inspect installed areas, generate quality control documentation, record site conditions and report findings to the client and PM.
  • Control, inspect and validate the QA/QC program; prepare non-conformance reports to assist change order submission.
  • Review drawings for errors, compliance with Canadian standards and project specifications, and for installation practicality; flag issues and coordinate resolutions.
  • Maintain on-site document control and monitor documentation status to support approvals and schedule progress.
  • Communicate regularly with Technical Coordinators and Project Managers; perform other administrative tasks as required.
  • Keep photographic records of deficiencies and closures (before/after) and ensure closure with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Track daily schedules and site progress to enable the PM team to demonstrate delays or holdbacks when required.

Assist the Lead Foreman

  • Assist in planning daily schedules and communicating schedule changes to stakeholders.
  • Review weekly schedules with the Lead Foreman and PM.
  • Quality control of rebar installation per approved shop drawings; record, communicate and close deficiencies with photographic evidence.
  • Track scope changes at site and coordinate communications with concerned teams.

Assist Field Health & Safety

  • Support Lead Foreman to ensure site H&S compliance.
  • Coordinate harness inspections and H&S reports with the safety representative (AGF).
  • Provide site photos and reports on any observed safety gaps.
  • Field administration & critical equipment coordination
  • Assist field procurement to ensure accessories/equipment are stocked at site per project needs.
  • Keep records of rental equipment and monitor their usage.

About You - The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Civil Engineering Diploma or Degree;
  • Ability to read structural and architectural drawings;
  • 1+ years of construction estimating experience;
  • Ability to visualize structural elements;
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports;
  • Excellent math skills with strong attention to detail;
  • Critical thinking and ability to use independent judgment;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines.
