The RoleSeeking a motivated and experienced Senior Town Planner to lead diverse urban projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development. This is a key role for a confident communicator who thrives in a fast-paced consultancy environment and is passionate about shaping the future of WA's urban landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the preparation and delivery of planning applications and advice
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Provide expert written and verbal advice to clients, authorities, and key stakeholders
- Present at panels, tribunals and community or regulatory forums as required
- Mentor and support junior planning staff, providing clear guidance and feedback
- Build strong relationships with clients, government bodies, consultants, and community representatives
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to proposals and client engagement strategies
- Tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning.
- In-depth knowledge of WA statutory and strategic planning frameworks
- Strong report writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality outcomes
- Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving capabilities
- Demonstrated leadership potential and desire to mentor and grow a team
- A collaborative approach and commitment to professional integrity
