Job Purpose

Lead work in the installation, repair, remodel, and maintenance of manual and automated locks, locking systems, and security devices; computerized access control systems of BNPP Security. The position oversees the work of junior staff and ensures work is performed to required standards and procedures while acting as the main technical point of contact for any technical and/or operational aspect of lock and key installation, maintenance, repair, adjustment, and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the installation, maintenance, repairs, and adjustments of all types of locks and their components for security buildings, rooms, safes, and vehicles.
  • Cuts and issues keys; programs and issues key cards.
  • Implements, troubleshoots, repairs, and programs computerized access control systems; upgrades and maintains security system locks.
  • Services and maintains safes; inspects completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements, and compliance with applicable building and safety codes and regulations.
  • Inspects related work performed by contractors; estimates cost, time, and materials for locksmith projects.
  • Participates in the maintenance and operations of a locksmith store.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and security of all site physical security information and documentation.
  • Oversees the work carried out by junior member(s) of the team and ensures work is carried out to required standards and procedures.
  • Responds to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service.
  • Acts as the main technical point of contact for any technical and/or operational aspect of key and lock installation, maintenance, repair, adjustment, and management.
  • Produce and modify hardware for locks.
  • Make new keys; replace broken or lost keys.
  • Develop and maintain key management program to help schedule and prioritize workload.
  • Cleans, maintains, adjusts, calibrates, and services equipment used in the performance of duties.
  • Monitors work done by team member(s) and external contractors for adherence to state and regulatory requirements and reports back to the line manager.
  • Helps to develop and maintain appropriate service and repair records.
  • Improve the systems, processes, and policies in support of the organization's mission - specifically, support better management reporting, information flow, and management, business process, and organizational planning.
  • Contribute to a continual improvement program to constantly make changes to support processes in order to improve delivery and simplify service related processes.
  • Provide inputs into the long term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence, risk management, and business continuity.

  • Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures, and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others, and corporate assets.
  • Follow all relevant Business Continuity and Resilience requirements for compliance with, and adherence to, policies, procedures, and instructions related to the effective planning for, and response to, incidents and/or business disruptions in order to continue critical business processes and activities with minimal adverse impact.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Preferably in a regulated security environment or military program requirements
