The Opportunity

Our Benalla manufacturing site is located in regional Victoria, 2.5 hours north of Melbourne's CBD. This plant provides energy and automation digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability, primarily Transformers, Kiosks and Switchgear. The Benalla plant demonstrates our commitment to local manufacturing and innovation, contributing to the regional economy and offering job opportunities.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Customer Engineer to join our team in Benalla, Victoria. This permanent position will lead engineered-to-order projects that support the production of transformers, kiosks, and switchgear, collaborating with a range of key stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage diverse engineered-to-order projects in support of Benalla manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and business objectives
  • Deliver customer solutions while balancing quality, cost and adherence to internal processes across multiple concurrent projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholder groups including Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and leadership to ensure project success
  • Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle
  • Contribute to local manufacturing innovation, supporting Schneider's commitment to regional economic development, sustainability and strategic relationships
Qualifications
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications - ideally Electrical plus Project Management
  • Experience in a similar manufacturing/production environment
  • Strong project management capabilities with a diverse technical or project background to achieve customer-focused outcomes
  • Experience using SAP and other digital tools
  • Proven ability to partner with varied stakeholder groups and collaborate to achieve outcomes
  • Knowledge of or experience with related technical assets (Electrical, Transformers, etc.) is advantageous
