We are seeking a skilled and strategic Senior Media Advisor to support a high-profile government client. This role is critical in managing media relations, protecting corporate reputation, and advising senior leaders on media engagement and messaging.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver media responses, statements, alerts, and strategies
- Collaborate with the Minister's media team and internal stakeholders
- Advise and prepare senior leaders and spokespeople for media engagements
- Monitor media trends and update stakeholder strategies
- Scan the socio-political environment for risks and opportunities
- Build relationships with media officers in key agencies
- Participate in on-call media and emergency response teams
- Degree in communications, journalism, public policy, PR, or business
- Valid driver's licence
- Proven experience in media relations, crisis communications, and reputation management
- Strong writing, storytelling, and project management skills
- Excellent understanding of government relations and media networks
- Media Strategy, Crisis Comms, Relationship Management
- Detail-oriented and brand-aware
