The Role
As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will oversee legal matters across real estate transactions, acquisitions, and development projects. This strategic role supports senior leadership and ensures compliance with UAE regulations. Client Details The company is a leading Dubai-based real estate group known for its design-led, high-value projects across luxury residential and commercial sectors. The company is structured to deliver excellence through innovation, with a collaborative legal team supporting its strategic growth.
Responsibilities- Provide legal advice on acquisitions, leases, joint ventures, and development contracts
- Conduct thorough legal due diligence and identify regulatory risks
- Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel to manage legal aspects of transactions
- Liaise with government entities to ensure project compliance
- Resolve legal disputes through negotiation, settlement, or litigation
- Support zoning, permitting, and land use matters for development projects
- Develop internal legal policies and deliver training on real estate law and risk management

- 8 - 10 years PQE with a mix of law firm and in-house experience.
- Qualified in a common law jurisdiction (UK, Ireland, Australia, NZ, South Africa)
- Strong understanding of UAE real estate laws, zoning, and development regulations
- Experience in real estate or development sectors is an advantage.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience advising senior management and working with regulatory bodies
- Ability to work under pressure and manage complex legal issues independently
