Job Purpose

To initiate and coordinate all insurance policies and ensure that the various assets carry adequate insurance coverage in accordance with Enterprise policy standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Insurance with risk financing strategies and self insured retention strategies to align with financial objectives.
• Coordinate with insurers to survey main assets and major projects and implement risk improvement recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise regulatory and legal requirements, including commitments under the Power Purchase Agreement and Common Terms Agreement.
• Research available cover premium quotations, analyze cover and price, review contract wording and renew authorized covers.
• Record claims, inform insurers within the approved timeframe and follow up with insurers.
• Develop reports on costs versus budgets, review invoices and pass authorizations to the Head of Insurance.
• Track and review premiums paid to ensure alignment with agreed contracts.
• Assist the Head of Insurance in reviewing and negotiating policy terms and conditions with insurers, brokers and consultants.

Professional Certifications (Mandatory)

• Diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute UK or Associate Member of the Indian Insurance Institute (AIII) or Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualifications (Cert CII) or equivalent.

Preferred Certifications

• Advanced Diploma in Insurance of the Chartered Institute of UK (ACII) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, insurance, law, or any other relevant discipline.

Experience

• 10 years relevant experience, preferably in the UAE insurance market.

Language Skills

• Fluent and professional in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Bi lingual in English and Arabic.

Technical Competency

• Strong background in liability and financial lines risk assessment and underwriting.
• Experience in property, casualty and other general lines in risk assessment and underwriting.
