The Senior Estimator plays a critical role in the construction and engineering sector, leveraging extensive experience in cost estimation and project management to produce accurate, reliable estimates that drive project success. The role requires analytical acumen, creative problem solving, and an ability to navigate technical documentation and evolving industry practices. You will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop comprehensive estimates and budgets, assess risks, and deliver realistic cost projections within tight deadlines.

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects in the organization.
• Analyze project plans and specifications to ascertain project requirements and develop estimates.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure alignment on project goals.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential project challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior estimators to enhance their professional development.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and evaluate cost-effectiveness in project planning stages.
• Utilize estimation software and tools to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of estimates.
• Review historical data and perform cost analysis to support decision making processes.
• Adjust estimates to reflect labor and material costs, project scope, and market conditions.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients for project cost inputs.
• Participate in bid reviews and presentations to provide clarity on cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards in all estimation practices.

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction estimating or project management.
• Proficient in estimation software such as PlanSwift, ProEst, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in cost estimation processes.
• Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration with diverse project teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines consistently.
• In depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple estimation projects simultaneously.

Additional Information: The role involves regular interaction with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to gather cost data and negotiate terms.
