At Henne, we're redefining contemporary womenswear with purpose, precision, and a strong sense of identity. We're looking for a talented and trend-driven Senior Designer to bring a bold yet commercial perspective to our collections.

As a Senior Designer at Henne, you'll be central to shaping and evolving the creative direction of specific categories within our collections. You'll be responsible for balancing trend leadership with commercial success - from concept to execution.

This role offers ownership, creative freedom, and close collaboration with our passionate in-house team, including Garment Technicians, Planners, and fellow Senior and Junior Designers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the design direction for assigned categories.
  • Research and source innovative fabrics, trims, and hardware solutions.
  • Lead seasonal and category-specific trend forecasting.
  • Conduct global and local market research and competitor analysis.
  • Provide creative input and ideas for product drops, best-seller evolutions, and key fabric extensions.
  • Stay inspired by runways, street style, social media, and emerging global platforms.
  • Create sketches, concepts, and detailed tech packs for new styles.
  • Partner with Garment Technicians and suppliers throughout the fitting and sampling process.
  • Approve lab dips, fabrics, and trims - maintaining the Henne standard.
  • Work with Merchandise Planning on post-season analysis and product opportunity planning.
  • Analyse sales data to drive decisions on repeat styles and product improvements.
  • Maintain concept boards and a comprehensive design archive.
  • Explore new mills, fabrications, and suppliers to continuously enhance our range.
  • Identify opportunities for colourway extensions, fabric consolidation, and creative reuse.
  • Mentor and coach to our junior and mid-level designers in building their skills through regular feedback, pairing sessions, and constructive design critiques.
  • Be a role model for the team in demonstrating best practices in design process, communication, and collaboration, setting the standard for how the team works together.
  • Supporting the continued growth of our team, identifying opportunities for team members to stretch into new areas of responsibility, helping them progress in their careers.
  • Ooze the Henne culture and values, contributing towards to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture by encouraging open dialogue, celebrating wins, and fostering psychological safety.
KEY SKILLS
  • 7+ years of experience in fashion design, ideally within womenswear.
  • Deep understanding of fabrication and textiles, with a strong ability to apply this to commercial product development.
  • Experience working with denim and/or knitwear is highly regarded.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with a proven ability to guide, inspire and bring teams together.
  • A keen eye for process improvement and enhancement; knows what exceptional ways of working look and feel like, with the ability to influence effectively.
  • Clear and confident communicator, comfortable collaborating across departments.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into product decisions.
  • Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
