TheSenior Cyber Security Analyst will play a key role inadministrative discipline and effectiveness of our InformationSecurity Management System (ISMS) especially compliance with theAustralian Government Information Security Manual (ISM). You willbe responsible for security monitoring and reporting, useradministration and support of security tools based on ISMstandards, playing a pivotal role in the Consumer Data Right (CDR)initiative by promoting a secure, reliable, and trusted environment.

• Collaborativelywork with vendors, service providers, other Commonwealth cybersecurity teams, and external specialists to implement andoperationalise security controls and improve monitoringsystems.
• Undertake dailyoperations activities including user administration ofrole-based access control (RBAC), extensive use of Azurecurity tools and dashboards, regular audits configurations toensure compliance and appropriate assignment ofprivileges.
• Review securityincident and event logs and monitor threat intelligence feedsand contribute to ongoing threat intelligence.
• Monitor, analyse,and report compliance against ISMS controls, identifying areasfor improvement in data collection, assurance processes, andsecurity procedures.
• Provide timelyintelligence reporting on potential security risks and ISMcompliance issues.
• Contribute to thedevelopment of tactical controls and contribute to strategicdirection of cyber security operations.
• Prepare regularreports and presentations on cyber security for management andexecutives.

• Demonstratedability to work in a neurodiverse security team, fostering apsychologically safety and productive work environment.Commitment to confidentiality and secure handling of sensitiveinformation.
• Demonstratedexperience in dealing with enquiries and managing stakeholderrelations in a composed and structured manner.
• Demonstratedability to work autonomously within a team environment andindependently with minimal supervision.
• Stronginterpersonal skills and ability to present information clearlyand concisely.
• Broad knowledge ofcontemporary cyber security eco-system and an ability toidentify solution that improve assurance processes.
• Solid understandingof cyber security monitoring and reporting operationsparticularly against standards like the Australian GovernmentInformation Security Manual (ISM).
• Applied knowledgeand understanding of Australian Government Information SecurityManual (ISM).
• Applied knowledgeand experience with key cyber security technologies andsolutions including Azure tools (e.g., Sentinel and Defender),SPLUNK and Airlock.
• Strong backgroundin Azure Cloud Security environments and proficiency inMicrosoft.
• Experience usingAzure, Microsoft 365 and DevOps tools.

Salary:APS6: $99,562 to $111,590 (plus 15.4%superannuation)
