Senior Accountant - Oil & Gas

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the oil and gas industry based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of accounting principles specific to the energy sector and a proven track record of managing complex financial reporting and compliance tasks. • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Manage month end and year end closing processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure adherence to financial controls and audit requirements.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures and best practices to improve efficiency.
• Monitor budgetary commitments and support forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare related documentation.
• Support financial analysis and provide insights for strategic decision making.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or ACCA qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the oil and gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local financial regulations in the UAE.
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills with the capacity to work effectively with cross functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
