We are currently partnering with a leading lifestyle brand in the UAE to hire a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements. Experience within the F&B industry is preferred, given the dynamic nature of operations and cost structures.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely submissions.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and variance analysis.
- Monitor intercompany transactions, accruals, and adjustments to maintain data integrity.
- Review and optimize accounting procedures and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Liaise with management to provide insights and recommendations for financial decision-making.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred).
- 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the F&B or retail industry.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.
- Hands on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Odoo).
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi brand environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
