The ACVVS program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person, right here in the Central Coast.

From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga, baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords whatever you love, you can share it with someone who loves it too.

As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living in your community.

We are seeking friendly people to volunteer and spend time visiting elderly clients living in their own homes on the Central Coast to enjoy a game of chess or play a board game. During your weekly or fortnightly visits, you'll see what a difference your time socialising can make, perhaps take a short walk or sit and chat over a cuppa.

Your Impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare.

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30-minute to one-hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday; visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
