Position Description:

Lead a team of representatives to achieve and surpass sales targets through order processing, telemarketing, and web-based sales strategies. Must possess confidence, high integrity, and can attract, lead, and drive change in a team of experienced professionals. Must have a solid history of results in driving a successful inside sales team and leading a culture of customer-focused excellence in a technology related field. Electronics distribution and/or direct marketing experience strongly preferred.


General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attract, develop, retain and manage performance of sales and service talent
  • Set clear expectations, provide required tools and training, deliver feedback and coaching, and drive strong and consistent accountability
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the team to exceed expectations
  • Interact on the sales floor daily to provide hands-on in-the-moment' coaching, and hold regular coaching conversations with each team member
  • Develop individuals to support future company growth
  • Review work of team members to determine areas of improvement and identify new best practices
  • Act as the Sales & Service Change Champion


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated business judgment
  • Excellent demonstrated professional communication skills, written and oral, including correct usage of grammar and sentence structure and appropriate professional messaging and tone
  • Excellent general computer skills, including demonstrated ability with navigating the web, all internal tools, as well as Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent reporting, documentation, and problem-solving skills required
  • Excellent communication skills - written, oral, presentation
  • Must possess a professional demeanor, and exude confidence and a leadership presence
  • Other duties as assigned


Education and/or Experience:

  • 10+ years (or bachelor's degree plus 5-7 years or equivalent) of Inside Sales/Customer Service Management experience in a technology related B2B business


Sales Management:

  • Act as focal point for key customer engagements, large quotes, and issue escalations
  • Drive sales programs, promotions, and team participation
  • Ensure all sales and service personnel provide a consistently outstanding customer experience
  • Ensure compliance of sales team to all policies and procedures


Business & Process Management:

  • Work with the Sales Operations Manager to ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales results, define required performance metrics and tracking, process documentation, and sales training
  • Lead Cross Functional relationships across Finance, Marketing, Purchasing, and Product Management


Reports To: Sales Director


Environment: Work environment is typically an office environment located on-site during normal or extended business hours.
