Job Description

My client based in Huntingdon is currently recruiting for a Sales Account Manager to join their team on a full time permanent basis. This role is perfect for someone who is driven and ambitious with a positive attitude and great work ethic looking to use their valuable knowledge and experience to advance their career within a flourishing and exciting environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for looking after customer accounts, to generate customer quotes and orders, managing their order delivery and supporting the external sales team to develop accounts and grow sales.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Generate, build, and maintain close working relationships with clients.

Providing customer quotations, processing orders & dealing with day-to-day customer enquiries and queries.

Maintaining & developing existing customer relationships whilst identifying opportunities to cross sell.

Communication with customers via email and telephone

Proactively grow sales and create opportunities / appointments for your external account manager to follow up and monitor their incoming communications as required.

Proactively managing open orders & customer expectations, ensuring customer orders are delivered when expected.

Maintenance of weekly reporting as well as completing cost & sell worksheets.

Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the External sales team to ensure effective coordination of sales activities.

Proactively contact non spending accounts with marketing campaigns and super selling days

Update the CRM where necessary.

Personal Skills:

Strong organisational & excellent communication skills

Excellent IT skills, including use of Excel to an advanced level

Display drive and determination and be able to remains calm under periods of pressure.

Be self-motivated team player with a collaborative, positive approach.

Excellent relationship-builder

Willingness to learn the product portfolio.

Essential Skills:

Proven experience in driving sales proactivity and exceptional customer service

Demonstrate good all-round commerciality.

Must have proven sales and commercial knowledge.

Demonstrate a determination to achieve goals and hit targets.
