Relief Security Officer - Campus Patrols

About the Role This role requires an active and alert individual to provide a strong security presence across The University of Melbourne, campus. You'll be working as part of a dedicated, customer-focused team, ensuring safety and providing assistance to all campus visitors and staff. This role offers a dynamic and physically engaging environment, with the majority of your responsibilities involving regular foot patrols across the campus grounds. Key Duties include, but are not limited to: Conduct regular foot patrols across the campus, primarily outdoors Escort individuals to different parts of the campus Ensure that campus property is securely locked and unlocked as necessary Assist with directing people and helping them navigate the campus Write detailed reports in response to incidents Communicate clearly and calmly with stakeholders across the University Skills & Experience Full Australian Working Rights Current Victorian Security Licence Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR Current driver's license Availability to work a 24 7 rotating roster Able to comfortably walk distances of 15-25km over the course of a 12-hour shift Strong communication skills Strong ability to write detailed and accurate incident reportsAs one of Australia's leading security companies including, with a national footprint across Australia, MSS Security has unrivalled experience in delivering the highest quality of service & protecting some of the nation's highest profile sites.
