If the answers are yes, our Wythenshawe based client is hiring a permanent full time Production Supervisor to join their business.

JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Shift Manager, the post holder will be responsible for continuously
overseeing the efficient running of the department and managing the team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Organise the team to ensure that the production plan is delivered on a daily basis

  • Provide all daily information on production efficiency, non-conformance and waste

  • Ensure new starters are welcomed to the team and trained on job instructions

  • Audit all daily checks and ensure they are being carried out

  • Ensure all operating procedures are being adhered to

  • Ensure all waste is minimised

  • Maintain high housekeeping standards for the area of responsibility

  • Liaise with other departments where necessary to ensure that the business needs

  • and priorities are met.

  • Consider and implement solutions to problems as and when they arise

  • Challenge non-conformance's or poor standards (both product and team members)


Salary: 26,406 per annum - this can increase up to 28,497 per annum

HOURS OF WORK: Rotating 06:00 - 14:30 & 14:15 - 22:45, Monday - Friday

PERSON SPECIFICATION


  • Must have an excellent attendance record

  • Must be flexible with hours of work (i.e. early starts / late finishes)

  • Ability to organise both yourself and others

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the Operations Team

  • Ability to solve problems

  • Production awareness

  • Experience of following and amending production plans would be an advantage but

  • not essential

  • Previous experience of leading a team


DESIRABLE


  • Previous food manufacturing experience

  • NVQ in Food Manufacturing

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

  • Working Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Health & Safety
