Production Department In-Charge - Tobacco Industry.

Location: Jebel Ali - Freezone.

Full-time / Permanent.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production In-Charge to oversee and manage daily operations within the Production Department of our tobacco manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal manpower utilization, effective production planning, compliance with safety protocols, and seamless coordination across departments to maintain a smooth and efficient shopfloor.

• Develop and implement daily and weekly production plans based on operational targets.
• Allocate resources and assign tasks to meet production deadlines efficiently.

• Supervise and manage production staff, including planning staff shifts and rotations.
• Identify manpower gaps and support the recruitment process in coordination with HR.
• Monitor staff performance and provide guidance for improvement.

• Ensure smooth and continuous operation of the production lines.
• Conduct routine inspections and take corrective actions to avoid downtime.

• Ensure all safety protocols and health regulations are strictly followed.
• Conduct regular safety briefings and enforce use of PPE on the floor.

• Collaborate closely with the Technical Team, Warehouse, and Maintenance departments for uninterrupted production flow.
• Report operational issues promptly and propose viable solutions.

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within the tobacco (SMD) industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of production systems, safety standards, and shopfloor control.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Strong understanding of production systems and tobacco industry machinery.
• Well-versed in modern production technologies, safety standards, and lean manufacturing practices.
• Proficient in using digital tools for reporting, shift scheduling, and performance tracking.

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and team management abilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a shift-based, fast-paced environment.
