Position Information

Fairvale High School is a co educational, comprehensive high school in South West Sydney, proudly serving a diverse, multicultural community. The school successfully caters for the academic, social, and wellbeing needs of approximately 1,314 students, with 94% from a language background other than English. The predominant cultural groups include Vietnamese, Arabic, and Assyrian. There are 316 students from refugee backgrounds and 26 Aboriginal students. Seven diverse learning classes cater for students with autism, mild intellectual disability, and moderate intellectual disability. The school has a Family Occupation and Employment Index of 163.

The school employs 160 teaching and non teaching staff members, including four deputy principals. Staff are highly dedicated and collaborative, fostering a caring and inclusive school culture that values high achievement, strong relationships, positive wellbeing, and educational excellence.

Fairvale High School offers a broad and balanced curriculum, which includes five VET pathways, designated EAL/D classes, and timetabled Literacy and Learning Support classes. The classification and remuneration of our school principals is based on school complexity, as measured through each school's RAM allocation. As part of the ongoing application of the new structure a review of thresholds and outcomes will occur on an annual basis. The principal classification for this school is Principal Level P4 for 2025 and Principal Level P4 for 2026.
